Meet the Author Mr. Smith

For the past 30 years, Mr. Smith has been fostering a love of reading through actively immersing his students in learning through humor and play. With Mr. Smith's Poetry Playground, he shares with you the same energy and enthusiasm that he brings to his classroom.

Daniel and his family live in Connecticut where he enjoys exploring small towns and the great outdoors, creating cascading waterfalls while gardening and, of course, finding new ways to inspire and educate young learners.

Meet the Illustrator Dananja Subasinghe

Ever since she could hold a crayon, Dananja Subasinghe has loved making art. Her passion soon turned to her profession and she now creates her vibrant, artistic magic in a cozy studio in Sri Lanka with her loyal cats, Malli and Nana!

Dananja enjoys yoga and trying out new and delicious recipes and she is passionate about listening to all kinds of music! Her colorful illustrations bring warmth and joy to every page of our books.
